Check of a condition of tyres and pressure of their rating, rotation of wheels

At a sports manner of driving it is recommended to increase pressure in tyres on 0.3 атм. At pressure increase it is necessary to start with a base-line value for various conditions of loading.

Winter tyres, as a rule, have pressure on 0.2 атм above, than summer. It is necessary to consider recommendations of manufacturers of winter tyres, and also to remember, such tyres have restriction on speed.

Regular check of a condition of tyres will allow to avoid the troubles connected with stops in a way because of the lowered wheel. Besides, such checks give the valuable information on possible problems with a steering and a suspension bracket before occurrence in them of serious damages.

Tyres can be equipped by the built in strips of indication of deterioration of a protector which are bared at decrease in depth of a protector to 1.6 mm. At occurrence of the indicator of the tyre are considered worn out. The tyres, which depth of a protector less than 2 mm in most cases is recommended to replace. Depth of a protector also can be defined by means of the simple and inexpensive adaptation known under the name of a measuring instrument of depth of a protector.

Examples and possible causes of wear of tyres

Pay attention to any unusual deterioration of protectors. Such defects of a protector as cavities, cambers, уплощения and stronger deterioration on the one hand specify in infringement of corners of installation of wheels and-or wheel balancing.   1. Carefully check tyres on presence of cuts, punctures and got stuck nails or buttons. Sometimes after a puncture of the tyre a nail it still some time holds pressure or lowers very slowly.   2. Carefully examine internal lateral surfaces of tyres on presence on them of signs of leak of a brake liquid. If those are available, immediately check up brake system.
  3. Maintenance in tyres of correct pressure increases term of their service, helps to save fuel and improves the general comfort of movement. The special manometre is necessary for pressure check.
  4. Always check pressure upon cold tyres (i.e. to a trip on the car). If to check pressure on warm or разогретых tyres, it will result in overestimate of indications of a manometre because of thermal expansion of tyres. In this case it is not necessary to lower pressure since after cooling of the tyre it will appear below norm.
  5. For check of pressure of a rating of the tyre remove a protective cap from a nipple, then densely press to the gate of a rating a nozzle of a manometre and consider instrument readings – they should make 2.0 атм. Do not forget to establish into place a protective cap for hit prevention in a dirt and moisture nipple. Check up pressure in all tyres, not forgetting about a spare wheel, and if necessary pump up them.
  1. Each 12 000 km of run it is recommended to make rotation of wheels for equalising of deterioration of tyres. At use of radial tyres establish them according to a direction of their rotation.
